Capture the true spirit of a small-town holiday celebration at the 23rd Annual Holiday Lighting Festival on Friday, December 2nd, 2011 on Denton’s Historic Courthouse Square.

 

Location

The Denton Holiday Lighting Festival is held on Denton’s Historic Courthouse lawn located at 110 West Hickory Street.

General Event Info

Photos with Santa ($7) , Horse Drawn Wagon rides ($3),and great food from local non-profits are available for a small fee.

Free parking in the Wells Fargo Bank and The Bayless-Selby House Museum (BSH) Parking Lots.

Disabled Parking is located on the west side of the Wells Fargo building on Locust Street.

Lost children may be picked up at the Information Booth.

Restrooms are located inside the Courthouse and Square restaurants.

This is a Litter Free Event. Please do your part to Keep Denton Beautiful.

Take the A-Train!

Traveling to Denton for the Holiday Lighting Festival? Forget I-35 and jump on board the Wonderland Express! Take the A-train from Carrollton or Lewisville stations and enjoy complimentary hot chocolate, coffee, a visit with Santa and other goodies! Complimentary bus service will take passengers from the Downtown Denton Transit Center to the Courthouse Square.

4:36pm train arrives in Denton at 5:16pm

5:02pm train arrives in Denton at 5:42pm (in time for the tree lighting)

5:28pm train arrives in Denton at 6:08pm

6:48pm train arrives in Denton at 7:28pm (in time for the 11-piece orchestra and main stage headlining entertainment)

Toy Drive Information

Once again the festival will be hosting a toy drive. Toys gathered will be distributed to families needing assistance during the Christmas season in Denton County. A drive-through toy drop-off will be at the southeast corner of the square.
